  1st time driving on a Frozen Lake! Wow! Ice rink, Ice fishing, or just simply drive on the frozen lake ! Lol ... Lots of Fun :) Don't need a 4X4 as long as you stay on the trodden path ... which I learnt the hard but fun way as I decided to create my own path with my front wheel drive car and got stuck in a little bit of snow! Before long good friendly people with all kinds of jeep / truck 4X4 shovels and straps ... just came to help me out :) and I was back driving on the Lake but this time keeping to the path.

  Where else can you go and ice skate and ice fish all in the same area. Families having fun and enjoying the great outdoors, across the road you get snacks , lunch or just hot drinks . You can't beat the setting it's breathe taking .

  Sylvan Lake is a well kept from litter with availability of shore lines to walk.. Public showers & bathrooms are always kept clean.

  Sylvan Lake has earned its place on the list of Canada's top 20 beaches! Very family-friendly with clean, shallow water with soft, sandy floor. In low-water level times, there's lots of sandy beach to play in. Public washrooms & changerooms right on the beach. Be sure to treat yourself to delicious ice-cream at The Big Moo!

  Jarvis Bay campground is a terrific place for overnight stays. All the usual comfort amenities!

  Lot's to do on the Lake shore drive as well. I'm sure it's double the fun in the summer! I'd highly recommend this lake and the small Lake town of Sylvan Lake.

  Born & lived on Prince Edward Island most of my life I miss being near the ocean and walking the shoreline..
